I entrust to your leadership ten score of my best warriors.  You are to land with the rest of my army north of [[Fontainver]] but are later to separate.  You must make for the forest the dwarrowdelf at [[Yarlug]].  You will encounter the [[Derro]], who hold imprisoned one that I have sought for an Age.  They will be reluctant to part with their ward, for they intend to use him in bargain for many of their own that the Witch Maid has imprisoned.  If the prisoner has failed to survive his captivity then you are to ensure that you bring his sword to me.  If, by chance the [[Derro]] have no understanding of the value of his weapon then use your guile and extract it from them – I will meet their demands. You are to bring it to my forces at Vorsay and present it to Lord Carass.

Should you fail to find the weapon, you are to explain these orders to the Lord of Vorsay and offer him your service.  Be sure you are successful.
