Change of Direction[edit]

After realising that our dreams were more than they seemed (and waiting for Takeda to stop having orgasms over his new bow), we held a quick council to discuss what we would do next (again?). With the new information on the enemy's movements we decided that a direct strike on Yarlug would avoid friendly forces being encircled whilst containing the greatest threats in one location. The white council could try to intercept the positive ring, whilst we journey north to find the lost souls and a flore/bloom for the Dwarves.

We had to put on a show, of course, for our guests and perhaps pretend that we had divined the enemy's deception and deliberately given the impression that we were going to follow the original plan in order to keep our real plan secret. Does this actually make sense? Perhaps I should ease up on the weed for a little while... or get something more substantial to snack on!

The one thing we didn't anticipate was that Yishmay, as host to a flore of the Prime, remembered everything that had happened/would happen - including her own death! Takeda had to do a lot of grovelling, and to be fair we were all ashamed. She did present the timepiece to Takeda for safekeeping, which seemed like dubious judgement to me.

When we did get some time to ourselves we were excited to learn that the gems we had been gifted were more than just trinkets, and had various magical powers. My own allowed me to see reality behind illusions when I peered through it. Lanzi was later to suggest that I get a headband made like his own to allow it to be easily used whilst keeping hands free.

There was a big feast that evening, as planned, hosted in Baldir's temple. Hintzu was asked to sponsor a monastery in the Efferendil so that the spiritual and physical defence could be bolstered, which he was happy to do. We had a surprise guest for dinner - Thor himself! Once the mess of everyone falling to the floor to supplicate to him had been sorted he became quite the life of the party, although his tongue was loose and he was not holding back on his accounts of reverting Ragnarak! Hopefully everyone was too hungover the next day to remember clearly (or they just tuned him out - he was a bit of a bore after a short while). For my own part I determined to devote myself to Thoth and the thirst for knowledge that had always consumed me.
