Rings

Origin[edit]

There were originally seven rings of power amongst the second born (dwarves) and four elven gems which contain elemental power.

The Dwarven rings and the Elven Gems were linked to the Planes and/or elements

At Lastar's behest Orodruin combined the 4 elven gems with their aligned dwarven rings.

Three Dwarven rings remained unaltered {"they (dwarves) shall keep them for their powers affect the (shall we say) less predictable domains that come into contact with the Prime"}

2 of the unaltered rings are positive (location unknown) and negative (with the Derro); the third is believed to be Astral and belonged to Maedus

Positive Ring[edit]

Negative Ring[edit]

Originally belonged to Balem (probably linked to presence of Negative Natural Gate in Zundar). Lost following his death but recovered by Demogorgan and passed to Yarl in exchange for lifetime support and access to the gate at Yarlug, which had been moved there by Lastar

Astral Ring[edit]

Originally belonged to Maedus

Notes[edit]

Note from our encounter with Lord Marin of Orodruin's folk: 'Lord Marin also agreed that Hintzu's rings should ultimately have the gems removed and the bands only returned to the remaining dwarven Lords.'
